Plus Size One Piece Women’s Swimwear

October 29th, 2008

Summer time can really be a headache especially for those women who wear plus size clothing. This becomes more painful when they are shopping for women’s swimwear. Why not? All they can see on TV nowadays are those skinny models wearing their skimpy swimwear. They can’t help but ask how they, plus size women, compete with these sexy models in terms of swimsuits.
According to Kenneth Elliot, a website promotion expert and a specialist in affiliate marketing, he finds that the problem with those big women out there is that they simply don’t know what they are looking for. Knowing what they really need and what they are really looking for is the miracle of getting what they need and what they want in a swimwear. He believes that the main technique in shopping for a women’s swimwear is to find the suit that would accent their problem areas.
“If someone feels that there love handles are to large then buying a swimsuit that pulls in the love handles would be a good choice” said Elliot. He stated further that a one piece women’s swimwear is perfect for those plus size. They can never go wrong with these suits for sure.

Sex and the City Girl Releases Clothing Line With Swimwear Options

October 8th, 2008

Kristin Davis who plays conservative Charlotte York in the famed Sex and the City franchise has released her own line of clothing.  Davis will be working in collaboration with the department store chain ‘Belk’.  Davis’ character in Sex in the City was always the preppy girl with an old rich charm – a style sensibility that Davis herself sometimes adheres to.  Perhaps, a little bit of York will rub off on Davis’ clothes. Bikinis

Davis, 43, admits that she is still overwhelmed with the task of designing but that she is loving it and learning at the same time.  Davis’ line will feature casual clothes.  She and Belk will also be adding a swimwear line for the 2009 Spring and Summer season.  In addition to swimwear, they will also feature swimwear coverups and all sorts of swimwear accessories from bags to wide brimmed hats.

“For spring/summer we’re adding swimwear, sunglasses and cover-ups.” Said Davis in an interview, she also adds, “We’re looking at cotton modal, and I was telling them (the design team) that we need linen, seersucker.” – Definitely a little bit of Charlotte in there with the seersucker.

When asked how much of the line will be Charlotte inspires she replied - “Hard for me to say. I’ve had a hard time answering that question because I have been playing Charlotte for 10 years. I’d say half and half.”

Her line will also feature shoes and bags.

Swimwear Compromise: The Tankini

October 7th, 2008

Spending time at the beach or by the poolside can be very fun. The only problem faced by most people is the dress code. The beach is much more forgiving, but public pools are stricter. Some women are uncomfortable with the idea of wearing a bikini in public. These women have a couple of options available to them: The Maillot and the sexy Tankini option.

Maillots are making a swimwear comeback. More and more designers are coming up with great maillot designs. It is perfect for those women who want coverage, but are not about to give up on style. Maillots are also great for women who need added support and lift. Some maillots are created with tummy and bra support. However, wearing a Maillot or one-piece bikini can be very cumbersome and it’s not for every woman. So, what shall a woman do now? The best option is to go for a tankini.

The Tankini is perfect for women who want coverage, but cannot be bothered to put on a maillot. Tankinis can also provide the support given by maillots. Plus, it’s easier to put on. Bustier women could pick up tankinis that have halter straps. Women could also go for tankinis with boy shorts for bottoms.

No matter what women choose, they should always be aware that sometimes, less is more.
